Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium (KWHSS) 2020

Balduineum Wahl Heinrich VII – Seven Prince Electors, circa 1341

Unto Good and Great Nobles of the Kingdoms of the Society,

The Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium (KWHSS) is an annual inter-kingdom SCA event for the purpose of promoting heraldic and scribal education and research in the SCA. By the grace of Dame Juliana, Laurel Queen of Arms, the Kingdom of Lochac has been chosen to host the Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium (KWHSS) in July 2020.

The event will be held in Melbourne Australia, known as the Barony of Stormhold from Wednesday 8 July to Friday 10 July 2020. Timed to coincide with the Kingdom of Lochac’s Midwinter Coronation, (in a separate event scheduled for Saturday 11 July to Sunday 12 July 2020) the event will showcase this Kingdom’s outstanding Heralds and Scribes.

Classes on Heraldry and the Scribal Arts will run all day Wed, and half-day Thursday. Thursday afternoon will then be a break in the classes to then see the heraldic sites of the Barony, or visit the State Library of Victoria to see their medieval manuscripts. There will be the famous Heraldic Roadshow on Friday, as well as a Scriptorium and market (this day will be garbed).

Please check out the website for information on timetables & the excursion details- and book through there.
